Hi, 2018.

2017 has been magical.

The New Year always causes me to stop and examine my life and everything that I have been blessed with. I’ve been trying to write this post for a few days now, and each time I try to write a sentence on how this year encompasses joy, happiness, and peace for me, I fall short. I always say that I can write how I feel, much better than I can say it. This is just not the case for this year. I have met people who have changed my life. I have had experiences that have changed my life. I have had perspectives that changed my life. I have lived in two vibrant and alive places that are filled with people who surround me, support me, and lift me up. They encourage me to be the best version of myself and showed me that I have the potential to be something great.

In 2017 I became the person that I always wanted to be. The person that I always saw when I looked into my early 20’s. And it shocked me. I set goals, and reached them. I saw parts of myself that I didn’t like, and so I changed them.

I learned to love myself. I learned to work harder than I thought possible and enjoy the rewards that come when you do so. I learned about self-control. I learned about budgeting. I learned that being an adult means making hard choices in order to reap benefits in the long run. I also learned that being an adult doesn’t mean that you have it all together. I learned to push past that inner voice telling me that I couldn’t do it.

Whatever “it” may be for you, you can, in fact, do it.

There is no obstacle that you cannot overcome. I personally turn to Jesus for that strength, but we all have strength within ourselves as well that pushes us to the next level of who we know that we can be. I have always said that the safest, most full life, is when you are living in the will of God. This year has proven this statement over and over again.

I learned to not to place value in other peoples negative opinions. If I wanted to do something, I did it. I stopped letting what other people would say, influence the way that I lived my life.

I found people that inspired me and figured out exactly why they did, and took those admirable parts of their life and applied them to my own.

While closing the chapter on this year that will forever be a highlight in the grand scheme of my life, I can only look ahead to 2018 with the promise of even more exciting life.

I am planning a blogging rebrand in 2018. Forge A Frenzy was a tiny dream when I started and has turned into a passion that has given me new life and has, in turn, changed my life. I am going to rebrand based on who I have become and grow this new idea into something even greater.

2018 is going to hold new adventures, new travels, new trials, new triumphs, and so many new memories with those that I love. I aim to love others well, continue to learn how to be selfless, to strive after my goals, and become the best version of myself that I can be.

Happy New Year from Forge A Frenzy!
I hope that you are filled with peace and joy and that you are inspired to
go out into the world
and make it your own.
