Jasper Plum Beach Day + Weekend Recap

Happy Tuesday frenzies!

This past weekend was definitely one for the books. It was jam-packed with exploration and making memories. So cheesy. So true.

Today I am going to recap our fun weekend (scroll to the bottom of this post for tons of weekend photos) and also highlight this dreamy little beach dress from Jasper Plum.

As I mentioned in my previous post, one of my besties flew in from Atlanta on Thursday!! It has been sooo nice to spend time with a familiar face and just chill with someone who has known you forever. On Friday night we headed out to the fire pits on the beach in Corona Del Mar for an event with my fab church, Rockharbor. We chatted and mingled and ate s’mores and watched the sun set on the rocks/water and it was pretty wonderful. We headed to Stag Bar afterwards for a couple drinks and some dancing. This Jasper Plum dress would have been perfect for the evening. Light, airy, flirty, and fun!

The next morning we piled in my little Fiat (with Boston + Lorelei) and headed to Laguna Beach to go to the Top of the World park. We stopped at one of my favorite market cafes called Zinc Cafe & Market in CDM where we grabbed coffee and avocado toast. We arrived at the park with a beautiful view, somewhat interrupted by the June gloom, but still amazing. Don’t forget to scroll down for the full effect.

After our morning “hike”, we hit up a graduation party and I dropped Lauren off with Lorelei to go to a soccer game and I headed to the Hollywood Bowl for a Lady Antebellum, Kelsea Ballerini, and Brett Young concert! Honestly one of my favorite concerts I’ve ever been to. A night full of dancing and awesome music. It was a total blast and I would go see them again if I could!

The next morning we hit up Rockharbor for service and then headed to LA with some friends to take Lauren on a driving tour of the city. We stopped at Toast Bakery Cafe for lunch and stumbled upon Vanderpump Dogs which is Lisa Vanderpump’s dog adoption boutique in LA that was the CUTEST. We then drove down Rodeo and passed the Beverly Hills sign on our way to Alfred Coffee (my fave). Technically, it wasn’t “on the way” but we created our own guide for that day. Thinking about doing an “out of town guests” guide on the blog? Thoughts? We shall see.

After Alfred and the pink wall (which is now a rainbow wall) on Melrose, we drove to the Chinese Theater so she could catch a glimpse of the stars on the sidewalk as we headed toward the Hollywood Sign. You can see the sign from the shopping area located near the theater but we were on a quest for the Lake Hollywood Park location to see if we could catch a better view. PS – YOU CAN.

A little secret (idk if it’s actually little or a secret but it was unknown to me) is that you can go to the Lake Hollywood Park and find yourself with a spectacular view of the sign. We were unsure if the unmarked/winding roads were going to lead us to our ideal destination but it turns out they did! There were only 1 or 2 other “tourist” type people (aka people with their iPhones out taking 700 selfies) and the rest of the people there were those who lived in the hills and were taking their dogs on a stroll to the park. I would 100% go back again and will probably take all of my out of town guests there! Definitely an LA gem.

By this time it was late in the day so we headed back to Newport even though there were other fun things on our list! Lauren and I will be heading to the Four Seasons in Beverly Hills for a UGA Alumni event this Thursday and will have some fun stories after that I am sure!
