Sweater Weather

Welcome back to Forge A Frenzy and Merry early Christmas!

If you are like me, you have been thinking of your friends and loved ones gifts for a while now, but also suddenly realizing that Christmas is pretty much here and it’s time to actually buy the presents that you have been planning. Thank goodness for Nordstrom buy online, pick up in store! If you need me, I’ll be frantically scrolling through my saved wish list items and wondering why I didn’t just ask my Dad what he wants for Christmas. Execution sometimes is not my best quality.

As you guys know, this past week, the week/weekend before Christmas, I was able to go back to Georgia to visit my bffs and see my boyfriend graduate! It was such an incredible time and it was over much to fast. One of the bonus points of having your best friend be an incredible photographer is getting fabulous pictures all of the time, whenever you want. And personally, I think that everyone needs a friend like that!!! Don’t know what possessed me to move across the country from her, but apparently I was not in the right state of mind. I will have some photos of she and I as well as her in another post. But I will add some cute photos of me and the bf at the bottom of this post because, why not?

Shamus (bf) and I drove to meet Halleson and her family at a Christmas tree farm so that I could take her family Christmas photos, which I will post a few of later. We moved on to a beautiful park that used to be an estate. It was the perfect dreary day outside for a wintery shoot. Halleson loves dark photos and she is rubbing off on me. And also, I feel like each shoot we do becomes my new favorite. I think I am going to move her out here to be my personal photographer. Anyways, moving on.

I purchased this sweater from Nordstrom and have linked it here. During my time in Athens I did way to much shopping and purchased this somewhat dainty necklace at Cheeky Peach, linked here, that blends a little bit into this sweater but also gives it a little bit of a complete look. I think that a lot of times, less is more. There is no need to over do it on too many accessories and patterns and crazy additions that make an outfit look too busy. A good cowl neck and simple necklace do it for me most of the time. I got these Sam Edelman booties from Nordstrom Rack on super sale and I am in love. You know those pieces where you wear them all of the time and don’t know how you lived without them before? That is these booties for me. A good neutral bootie goes a long way. These ones also have a touch of gold sparkle which is always fun. Since they were on super sale, they are no longer at the Rack, but I’ve linked a similar Steve Madden pair here.

I will be posting Halleson’s outfit and photos as well as a few of her family that I shot. I truly love being behind the camera, definitely more than being in front of it and I am excited to begin taking more photos out here in CA and growing my cliental.

As promised above, here are some photos of Shamus and I! I will probably write a post on long distance relationships and how hard they are but also how they help grow the relationship in ways you wouldn’t think. And also how special the time is that you actually do get to spend together. This one makes it worth it for me.

Well, it’s off to Northern California for Christmas with the family which includes ugly Christmas sweater parties, yummy food, and probably going to see Sing with my little cousins and pretending that I am there for them instead of actually myself. You can join along on all of the Crowley family fun on Snapchat, @MadisonCrowley and of course on Instagram, @MadisonCrowley.

Merry Christmas!

‘Till next time, xx Madison
