California Dreaming

Hello from California, frenzies!

I am so excited to be able to get back into my blogging routine and return to some semblance of normalcy in my daily life. Moving takes a lot out of ya. While I am compiling my post recapping and outlining my journey across the USA, I thought I would share a few fun photos from my time here so far. We currently live in Newport Beach, which is southwest-ish of LA for those of you who aren’t familiar with Southern California. It’s beautiful and welcoming and dreamy.

California life is different, that’s for sure, but in the best possible ways. To me, people here are more laid back, the atmosphere is more chill, and the attire is also much different than Atlanta. People take risks with their fashion here, and others throw on a slouchy sweater and high waisted shorts and call it a day. I aim to be in the middle somewhere, and to begin defining my CA style.

At Runyon Canyon (info about Runyon Canyon here) I wore one of my fall staples, my olive green Topman bomber from Nordy here and a white Adidas shirt from Nordstrom as well . I was also wearing my favorite live-in leggings by Zella here, that I seriously do live in. So comfy. Most people dress more workout-y for Runyon Canyon, but I was feelin’ slightly trendy. I’ve also linked my Ray-Ban’s here.

I’ve linked an oversized sweater here as well as my Joe’s distressed cropped denim here for my beach look. The lighting was perfect for a mini sunset shoot, so we took advantage of golden hour.

I have been diving into normal life here by finding my nearest HomeGoods store (can’t decorate without it), sitting at coffee shops, and running jogging/walking along the beach with the SoCal natives. I am currently searching for the perfect job here and missing my people at home in Atlanta just a little too much.

I can’t wait to share my cross-country memories with you all and maybe spark your interest in driving across the country. Seriously, if you have the chance, do it.

‘Till next time, xx
